The Undisputed Leading Event for TV in Central & Eastern Europe
- Incorporating TV Connect EurAsia
- 2013 Conference Highlights
- Interview with Christian Anting
- Interview with AMOS-Spacecom
Digital TV CEE took a new turn in 2013 and for the first time incorporated TV Connect EurAsia
Together, this truly was the only TV event encompassing the full value chain in the TV delivery ecosystem in this region. Over 200 of the most influential and visionary contacts in the industry – such as telecom operators, content producers plus cable and satellite providers – gathered last June in Krakow.
Digital TV CEE is now firmly established as the single most important annual networking event for senior executives from across the region and its three days of high-level keynote presentations, case studies and panel discussions provides an unsurpassable opportunity to learn from peers in the CEE pay TV, OTT and broadcasting businesses.
Next year Digital TV CEE featured the experience of the region’s operators and broadcasters and the main directions of future change – as well as the ways in which consumers are driving the delivery of new services and the entry of new players is transforming the competitive environment.
- PRE-CONFERENCE DAY
The pre-conference 'OTT in CEE' day featured discussion of the experience of pay TV service providers, broadcasters and pure-play OTT providers as they seek to capture a share of this growing market. More info here.
- DAY ONE
The first full day 'Pay TV Market Dynamics' looked at the dynamics of the pay TV market and identified key trends for the year to come. The event featured a series of keynote from top pay TV industry executives on the forces that are driving change and the ways in which operators are moving to adapt and anticipate those changes. More info here.
- DAY TWO
While new forms of distribution are delivering more choice for consumers, content remains at the core of the appeal of any service offering. Day Two 'The content industry and new services to attract users' looked at developments in the content industry across the region as well as the ways in which service providers are packaging and delivering that content. More info here.
Expert interview with Christian Anting, COO & VP of the Management Board, ITI Neovision
What will drive future growth of pay TV in Poland and the CEE region in your opinion?
TV Services available anytime and anywhere will definitely drive future growth of pay TV in Poland and the CEE region. What is worth to mention is also the analogue TV switch-off which is planned for mid of 2013 in Poland. I am sure it is going to be a key driver for pay TV future landscape. Out of the three million terrestrial households affected, there is roughly one million that will ultimately become DTH subscribers and our platform is specially suited to attract a large part of them.
Amir Carmeli, VP Sales, CEE at Spacecom, operators of AMOS satellites
- What were your main objectives when you considered sponsoring at Digital TV CEE?
Spacecom's main message is that we are a leading satellite operator with an excellent orbital position serving Central and Eastern Europe. As such, it is only natural that we consider taking part in one of the leading CEE events in the TV/broadcast domain. Our primary objective is for people to hear about and see AMOS.
- How did the conference help you meet your objectives?
All the participants saw the AMOS logo and heard about us. The conference provided us a focused place to meet the relevant people to our business.
- Do you think you saved time/money by consolidating meetings at the event?
The extra value from participating in the conference is that we can have meetings in a more relaxed and friendly environment. We do not view our participation to money or time. However, the conference greatly adds to developing relationships with prospective clients and enhancing interactions with our existing clients. Read more.
